Serial Number: 3304.

Comes with color scans of complete archival research.
Awarded to Major Y. Karabanov, political commissar in 67th Army, Leningrad Front, by decree of Feb. 13, 1943. This was the only order he received during WWII (he also received medal for "Defense of Leningrad", but it's most likely that he was wounded and did not see any action past January of 1943).
Very scarce decoration to a political commander ("politruk"), for skillful command and personal bravery during the defense of seiged Leningrad.

Unusually good condition, with only a tiny chip of enamel at top of the 12 o'clock arm. All original, no repairs of any kind.

Awarded to Sergeant Rodin V.P. for taking command when platoon commander was killed, and continuing to selflessly perform his duty while being wounded.
Comes with ORIGINAL stamped paperwork from archives of Russian Federation (award card, citation, and archival request paper).

Shows loop repair and soldering on reverse, possible reconversion. Enamel on top arm is restored, and screw slightly shortened. Still nice early order with great eye appeal!
